The Biometric Systems Laboratory was established to utilize human characteristics and behaviors in the development of identification and recognition applications, aiming to study and develop more secure identification and authorization systems. The laboratory is equipped with various licensed and open-source software to support these objectives.

1. Courses Utilizing the Laboratory

The Biometric Systems Laboratory is primarily used for the course:

• ABM304 - Identification Methods and Biometrics

It is also available for use in other courses as needed.

2. Laboratory Features

The laboratory includes devices and software for conducting practical applications involving iris, fingerprint, facial, and voice recognition. Its spacious layout allows simultaneous use of all devices. To prevent confusion, separate workstations are designated for each device group. Projection systems are utilized to enhance teaching efficiency and facilitate students' adaptation to the lessons.
