The Forensic Informatics Software Laboratory is dedicated to conducting forensic examinations and reporting processes. This laboratory is designed to facilitate the analysis of digital evidence obtained with the help of forensic informatics laboratories, compiling findings, and preparing reports. It is equipped with software for examining devices that can serve as evidence, such as disks, computers, mobile devices, evidence images, web browsers, and social media tracking. The laboratory contains licensed and open-source software for live analysis, image acquisition, and auxiliary tools used in forensic investigations.

The Forensic Informatics Software Laboratory consists of 50 computers with high processing capabilities, including Intel i5 and i7 processors, 16–32 GB RAM, 500 GB–1 TB storage capacity, and 22-inch monitors. Each computer is equipped with licensed and open-source software utilized for forensic informatics investigations on both Windows and Linux systems.
3. Software Used in the Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with the most essential software that students are likely to encounter and need to use in their professional careers after graduation. All software is kept up-to-date and fully licensed. The laboratory includes tools for image acquisition, image/disk analysis and reporting, live disk analysis, mobile device examination/image acquisition, and analysis of DVDs and various multimedia tools.
